POLICE are investigating a suspicious fire at a disused sports pavilion in St Albans last Thursday, May 1.
St Albans firefighters were called to Colney Heath Lane at 8pm and were there for more than an hour. The severely damaged pavilion backs onto Nicholas Breakspear School playing field. No one was in the building. Police have started an arson inquiry.
