A DEDICATED hospital volunteer from St Albans will be presented with a long service award for devoting 30 years of her time to patients and staff.
Ms Elizabeth Atkins, who works in the diabetic clinic and hearing advisory service at St Albans Hospital, is one of around 100 local volunteers to receive a long service award this month.
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which covers St Albans, Watford and Hemel Hempstead hospitals, is holding a celebratory lunch and ceremonies to mark the commitment and dedication of all the long-standing hospital volunteers.
