ONE of the police officers who investigated the Great Train Robbery in 1963 will be giving a talk about his experiences in Watford on Tuesday.
Mr John Wooley, will tell members of the local branch of the O50 Club, which represents elderly and retired people, of how as a young constable, he discovered the robbers hide-out in a farmhouse in Brill, near Buckinghamshire.
The robbers, who included infamous figures such as Buster Edwards and Ronnie Biggs, escaped with £2.3 million, equivalent to £40 million today.
The talk will be held at the Meriden Community Centre in Garsmouth Way from 2pm to 4pm.
