COMING off a bad run, Colts came into the game full of purpose to regain the third spot off Sun Postal.

It started badly for the Colts as an early corner was conceded, which led to a good finish from the Sun Postal centre back.

They kept their heads up though, and minutes later John Rowland battled back for the ball in his own half, beat a couple of players and, with no supporting players, had a crack and the ball ended up in the top corner from the half way line.

Rowland was the hero again after he pounced on a goalkeeper's error to slide the ball home.

Carling then got his name on the score-sheet with a cool finish.

It was much tighter in the second-half with both sides playing some good football, and, due to brave displays by both keepers, not being able to convert them.

Colts then sucked up a lot of pressure with goalkeeper Jack Newman pulling off a string of fine saves.

The game then became a bit bad tempered and an over reaction from a Sun Postal player led to a little pushing and shoving, and the two players involved were sent off, which the whole crowd found quite harsh.

The Colts then let there football do the talking and frustrated Sun Postal by keeping posession, and finally Carling finished Sun Postal off with a second goal to make it 4-1.

But Sun Postal wern't quite done, and they called upon keeper Newman to make more saves.

This pressure did eventually pay off when the ball broke for Jo Atkins, who buried it to make the final score 4-2 to London Colney.
