Potters Bar's push for a top three finish suffered a blow as they were held to a draw by a battling Greenacres side on Saturday.
The visitors started strongly and peppered the Greenacres' goal through efforts from Andy Martin and Lee Talbot. But clear-cut chances were few and far between and it took until the midpoint of the half for the best piece of football to arrive. Phil Turner sprinted onto a long through-ball from Jeff Cross. After drawing the home side's keeper he squared the ball just behind Lee Talbot and a certain goal was lost.
The home side started better in the second half but struggled to create clear-cut openings.
Greenacres almost took the lead with a powerful shot but Martin Steel was well positioned to deal with the threat.
Steel then saved well from a powerful header before Colin Robinson's goalbound header was cleared off the line.
