FIVE local schools were among those praised by Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools, David Bell this week, following an annual report produced by the Office for Standards in Education.
The official report The Annual Report on Standards and Quality in Education 20012002 published on Wednesday, lists schools and colleges nationwide which have received outstanding Ofsted reports, as well as those removed from special measures following significant improvement.
The local primary and secondary schools Cassiobury Infant and Nursery School, Christchurch School, Newberries Primary School, Nascot Wood Infant and Nursery School, and Parmiter's School were among 600 to have been praised by the chief inspector following their position in the report.
Mr Bell said: "I believe these successes are a testament to both the talent and dedication of the staff who work in these schools and colleges and the pupils themselves."
