It is very disappointing to hear that the Finchley and District Peace Campaign was refused a stall at the Friern Barnet Summer Show.
The peace group was founded in 1980 and coordinates the work of local groups and individuals concerned with peace and disarmament. It had a stall for many years at the East Finchley Fair and this year at the Finchley Carnival and is part of the community.
The people we met at the fairs were pleased to have an opportunity to find out more about peace issues. To explore and promote peace in any possible way for a better future is vitally important and is the responsibility of all of us.
