FRANCOIS PIENAAR revealed how his sides 133-3 demolition of Dinamo Bucharesti in the European Parker Pen Shield surpassed his own expectations.

"It was a great second-half performance," said Saracens' chief-executive-cum-coach. "I didn't expect to get 100 points. I thought if we get 50 or 60 against these guys I would be happy because they had 12 guys who were in the Romanian side who played England."

Leading 33-3 at the interval, Sarries ran riot in the second period with replacement Tom Shanklin, on his return from injury, helping himself to a hat-trick of tries.

"We played some superb rugby, especially in the second half, and I was pleased with the way we scored the tries," added Pienaar. "We scored a lot of tries from inside our half and even from in our goal area which was a great team effort."

Adryan Winnan,18, continues to enhance his glowing reputation as he took over the kicking duties in the second half and kicked seven conversions.

"The kid has really played well," enthused Pienaar. "He has been practising with Jannie all week and now we have got Jannie, Luke, Kevin and Adryan and that's the consistency we need in goal kicking."

Saracens 113: Tries: Horan, O'Mahony, Smith, Walshe (2), Russell (2), Roques, Cole (2), Flatman, Cairns, Roche (2), Shanklin (3). Conversions: Winnan (7), Smith (6), Sorrell.
