WATFORD Under 19s were caught on the counter-attack against Ipswich, then conceded a second to a calamitous mix-up and then had what looked a valid goal disallowed.
"Over 90 minutes, a 1-0 defeat would have been a fairer result," said youth team boss David Hockaday after the 2-0 setback.
Watford started the better but were caught when a half-cleared corner led to a breakaway and Ipswich finished with a "superb half-volley".
Then a mix-up saw the ball trickle over the Watford line and, while they believed they could pull the game back, a disallowed Cohen goal and the fact they never really got going in the second half, left them with nothing to show.
