Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service's Chief Fire Officer is warning people of the dangers of fireworks. Steve Seaber is urging people to attend organised displays, if possible, but, if they are lighting their own, to be careful and follow the Fireworks Code. He stressed that children should not be left alone with sparklers, which burn with intense heat and can cause injury.
