A mother-of-five from Borehamwood is looking forward to starting a new career as a teacher after achieving a first class university degree.
Jackie Noble last month received a First Class BA Honours Degree in French and German, after completing a part-time course at the University of Middlesex.
The housewife now plans to begin a teacher training scheme, and has agreed to take a beginners' French course next month at Borehamwood's Oaklands College.
She was not the only Middlesex University student celebrating in Borehamwood, however, as Reaj Guerra also won a first class degree in electronics and business.
Jackie, 44, of Manor Way, said: 'My advice to anyone thinking about taking up studying in later life is that there is no point putting it off ,, just go for it.'
Reaj Guerra, 24, of Furzehill Road, not only obtained a First Class Honours degree, but also the university's coveted George Goldspink Best BSc Student Prize.
