The winning smile of Elstree and Borehamwood's Millennium baby could soon be charming television viewers across the nation.

Young Jimmy Fitzgerald, who won this year's Festival Baby Show in June, has now been signed up by a top child model agency.

The one-year-old will be one of the new faces of London-based Little Acorns, which provides models for brands such as Pampers and Toys R Us.

Parents Steve and Sarah-Jane Fitzgerald, who live in Manor Way, Borehamwood, hope he might even get the chance to appear on television.

Sarah-Jane, 32, said: 'We are absolutely thrilled ,, we never thought anything would come out of him winning the baby show.

'He loves being in front of the camera ,, he just smiles and starts laughing.'

Jimmy is due to go for his first photo shoot with Little Acorns, which also supplies BBC Television with child models, tomorrow.

Sarah-Jane and Steve, a bus driver, were encouraged to send photographs to the company after Jimmy's victory in the baby show.

Although Jimmy has five half-brothers and one half-sister, Sarah-Jane said it was unlikely they would follow him into a modelling career.

'They don't like their pictures being taken at all,' she said.
