MONEY raised by two friends on a charity walk has been presented to the British Heart Foundation.
Dr Martin Fatharly and Mr Archie McDonald, both from St Albans, raised £270 by walking the 90 miles of the Two Moors Way in Devon over five days in June.
The pair stayed in farmhouses overnight before continuing their trek across Exmoor, Dartmoor and the valley between them, and enjoyed glorious weather on all but one of the days, when their compass reading skills were tested to the full due to thick fog.
Dr Fatharly chose the charity after receiving what he describes as 'excellent treatment and kindness' at Hemel Hempstead Hospital.
