A WEALTH of health experience comes on board, with the appointment of new non-executive director, Mr Robin Douglas, by West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Douglas, from Rickmansworth, has worked for ten years with the Office for Public Management, and is also involved with a number of education, training and development projects for health, local government and the voluntary sector.
He is also chairman of the Health Advisory Service and the Who Cares? Trust, a national voluntary organisation for children in the care of public services.
His main expertise is in user and citizen participation and developing community-based services.
He said: ' I am very pleased to be appointed to the board of a new trust.
'This is a new venture for me and I look forward to playing a role in improving health services for people in my own locality.'
He is married, has two daughters, and spends free time on his narrowboat.
