More than 20 bands and choirs, aerial stunts from historic planes, and nearly 200 canal boats come together this weekend to entertain the 20,000 people expected to attend Rickmansworth Festival.
Rickmansworth Aquadrome and Batchworth Lock will host the two-day celebration, marking the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain with a Spitfire and a Hurricane flyby on Saturday.
Festivities open from 10.30am to 10.30pm Saturday and 10.30am to 5pm on Sunday.
Bands ranging in ages along with acoustic sets and poetry performances will take place across four stages.
David Montague, festival director, said “The top attraction for many is the wonderful array of canal boats.
“It’s a unique spectacle, the boats moored along the towpath up to four deep, with boat owners out en masse to polish the brass, tidy the ropes and run the engines”.
