Watford have been preparing Vicarage Road Stadium for the Elton John concert for the past week and everything is now starting to take shape, as pictures taken yesterday show.
The stage, which is in front of the East Stand, is currently being constructed and Occupation Road has been closed off to allow the artic lorries to deliver equipment.
The pitch has been cut very short and the surface will be covered with a plastic flooring called Supatrac, which will allow the grass to ‘breath’.
Additional signage, toilets and catering facilities have also been built for Saturday’s concert, which will be Elton’s only UK gig this year.
