RADLETT residents can enjoy two days of fun and activities when the village hosts its annual festival this weekend.

Music, a mountain bike display and a grand buffet will be among an array of attractions at the two-day festival, held at Phillimore Recreation Ground, in Gills Hill, Radlett, starting on Saturday.

An outdoor concert and picnic will be held on the opening night followed by a traditional village fair on Sunday.

Performers include St Albans brass band and a young peoples' choir from Radlett's twin town Dunaharaszti, in Hungary.

Other opening night attractions include a French buffet, a licensed bar and raffle with prizes such as a lunch for four on board a luxury cruise liner and a box at the Albert Hall during Proms season.

Gates open at 5.30pm with the music programme starting at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £8 and under-16s can go free.

Attractions at the village fair, starting at noon on Sunday, include a mountain bike display, a Tom Jones tribute artist, a dog show, a fun fair and stalls selling a range of goodies.

Tickets cost £2.50 in advance and £3 on the day and under-16s can go free.

Tickets for both events can be bought from the parish council offices.
