Laptop computers, digital cameras and a pair of iPods were among items stolen in two burglaries in Garston.

They were taken from homes in Valley Rise and Cart Path, both in Garston, at about 5.30pm on Friday, June 11.

DC Colin Cantellow said: “Some of the items stolen are quite distinctive and identifiable. If you have been offered any of these items for sale in suspicious circumstances or you come across them please contact police.”

Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the burglaries and are due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on August 10.

They are a 17-year-old from Watford; Nathan Steele, 18, from High Road, Leavesden; and Luke Ashcroft, 23, from Charter Place, Watford.

The full list of items stolen in the burglaries includes: A Sony laptop model EB120E/15/M430 with a full 1080 high definition screen.

A Dell laptop, with XP Professional package and has the rubber mouse part in the middle of the keyboard missing.

A 15” Jessops picture frame.

A Panasonic TZ10 digital camera with GPS navigation system that records the time and location of picture.

A Fujifilm Finepix F6500 FD digital camera.

A Canon slim line digital camera.

A silver beer tankard with inscription.

A large black holdall bag with black and white pattern.

An X-Box games console.

A Nintendo Wii games console.

Two iPods (16 gig and 120 gig versions).

DC Cantellow said residents can protect their homes by ensuring they lock any doors and windows, don't leave boxes advertising expensive items beside bins, and keeping valuables out of sight.
