Students from Kings Langley School will be able to enjoy foreign climes thanks to a cash boost from a Hertfordshire County Councillor.

Councillor Richard Roberts, whose ward is Kings Langley, has awarded the school, based in Love Lane, £350 from his locality budget.

The money will used to pay for essential vaccinations for 29 students who are going on a school visit to Tanzania in July.

A total of £10,000 from locality budgets is available to each of the 77 members of Hertfordshire County Council to spend on worthwhile community projects in their area.

Councillor Roberts said: "It's important that young people get the opportunity to take part in the kind of self-development opportunities offered by visits abroad, which also enable them to bring something back to their home communities.

“I am happy to be able to support Kings Langley School with this contribution towards the expenses involved."
