Children at a Watford primary school have been cleaning cars, baking cakes and even shining shoes in a bid to raise money for Africa.
Hard working pupils at Laurance Haines Primary School, in Vicarage Road, are taking part in an enterprise week to raise money for a planned computer centre in Ghana.
Pupils of all ages have been taking part in various entrepreneurial activities to raise the funds. These have included washing cars in the school car park and shining shoes at Croxley Green Business Park.
Others have made a range of healthy lunchtime snacks, including fruit smoothies and fruit kebabs.
These were sold, along with a CD recorded by the children, at a school trade fair on Friday.
The group that raises the most money will be given a special prize by Mayor Dorothy Thornhill.
