A Garston couple battled searing temperatures and fatigue as they successfully pedalled to from London to Paris.
Andy and Jane Thomas, of Sheepcot Lane, joined nine other cyclists on the 270-mile Arch to Arc cycle ride at the weekend.
The pair helped to raise more than £30,000 for the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer.
Andy, who was treated for the condition in 2006, said: “We all got there in one piece but it was very hot along the way. It was 40 degrees in Paris on Sunday.
“We're hoping to do the ride again next year with 50 people.”
