Several UFO sightings in Bushey in past month

Bushey could soon be the unlikely location of a government x-file as residents reported several UFO sightings in the past month.

Jackie Noise says she was “really freaked” when she and her husband spotted a UFO for the second night in a row floating above Pasture Close this week.

She filmed a bright, flashing light in the sky, at about 11.15pm on Wednesday, June 30, and says it was a “really strange” experience.

She said: “It was a ball of light travelling in a straight line. To the naked eye it appeared white, but when I zoomed in it was changing colours – red, white, blue, yellow.”

On Friday, June 11, two more sightings in Bushey were reported at www.uk-ufo.co.uk by an unnamed resident.

They said: “I could see three objects in a line formation. The upper one was shining with white light, the second and third objects were shining in red and were situated beneath the whitish one.

For seven to ten minutes all the formation was stationary.

“Ten minutes before this sighting, my wife was observing a single, whitish, fast, dot-like object moving upwards. The movement was chaotic and without pattern.”

Was it still or was it travelling? The article says both.
I have observed a number of atypical lights in the sky; a largish, moving, red dot last week, travelling at an air-liner like pace but which was definitely not flashing (even through binoculars) and a few years ago two similarly over-sized orange dots which travelled on a parallel course towards Hertford at typical aircraft speed before ascending vertically at an enormous rate, vastly in excess of an aircraft and more like a missile.

Who knows what's going on up there, eh? I don't think it's anything to worry about.

"She filmed a still, bright, flashing light in the sky, at about 11.15pm on Wednesday, June 30"

At exactly 11.13pm Wednesday, June 30 the International Space Station (ISS) was directly overhead at Bushey, shining as brightly as the planet Venus. The changing colours are reminiscent of white light being diffracted, just as stars appear to twinkle into rainbow colours through ice crystals floating in the upper atmosphere.

I can't explain the "still" comment as the ISS clearly moves, but it was the brightest visible "star" directly overhead at this time and seems too much of a coincidence.

The ISS is going through its "season" of UK evening sightings at the moment.

Sorry, I have just re-read this bit.... "travelling in a straight line".

Yes, it was without doubt the ISS.

Nick Pope was a government investigator of UFO sightings. I have one of his books. He should have picked this one up.

Very impressive footage and very consistent with UFO sighting all over the world, especially in terms of the behaviour of the object i.e. the change of colours and its erratic movements. Cue "the experts" and the cover up.

For anyone interested, the International Space Station will be passing over the Watford area over the next few days. It will be seen near-overhead at the following times (clear skies permitting!):

4 July at 9:48 pm

5 July at 10:15 pm

7 July 9:32 pm

It would be best to get positioned a couple of minutes before to see it rising from a westerly direction. The whole transit will only be about six minutes. It will be unmistakable as a bright, moving star-like object without the flashing lights of an aircraft.

Hi Im Jackie Noise. I filmed this and witnessed it 3 days in a row. This was no chinese lantern!! And aslo the ISS(International Space Station) does not change colour like you see in the video. This was a moving object, it was not still as described in the piece. I have now uploaded it again on youtube, but slowed down. Also have put up new footage from 01.07.10 when we saw it again. Just search youtube : UFO Sighting in Bushey Hertfordshire. Thanks

Hi Jackie. I agree with you that this was no Chinese lantern. All I can say is that at the precise time of your footage of 30 June, the ISS was visible overhead as a very bright star-like object moving steadily west to east. Also would I right in saying that the time of your footage on 1 July would have been either 10:00pm or 11:40pm? Unfortunately I can’t get Youtube so am unable to see any time information you may have posted. These were the recorded times of near-overhead passes by the ISS over the Watford area on that date.
Please try to observe at the times I have given (unfortunately cloudy tonight).
Thankyou for your Youtube link. I will watch your video just as soon as I can access my proper computer!

Jackie Noise are you having a laugh? It's the mist obvious chinese lantern I've ever seen. I love the bit at the end as it flickers and goes out. You can get multi coloured lanterns and they also appear red as the go out.
Maybe Jackie should get out more lol

Ok Jackie I'm sorry for laughing at you.
On reflection it is clearly the 'international space station' or more probably ET on his bike over Bushey on his way home.
I'm off out now to buy some more multi coloured lanterns. (available from Amazon)
I'll be sure not to let them off if the wind is blowing towards Bushey. Don't want anyone building a bunker and phoning the government screeming that we are under attack from Mars.
;-)

So now it WAS the ISS....so what happened to the lanterns? Oh well done Andy...you googled ISS...see now, maybe you might learn something.
P.S why are you going out to shop at Amazon!! llooll you don't go out remember....say hi to Madame Palm and her 5 daughters wont you Andy ;-))))) lmao

Er two things Jackie.

One you don't need to go out. Amazon is an online retailer (bit thick of you)

Two. I never said it was the ISS (which I also knew what that was. Unlike you who was told by a 13 year old on you tube)

It's still in my opinion a lantern. Failing that it is the ISS.
I do believe in life out there, just I'm a little more intelligent than to believe every light I see in the sky is
an alien. Unlike you.
Are you about fourteen ?
