A busy road in Watford could remain closed until tomorrow following a burst water main flooded the street.
A section of St Albans Road was closed by police after the water main burst outside Garston fire station earlier this morning.
Police closed the road between the Dome roundabout and Hempstead Road.
However, it is now only closed northbound and diversions will be put in place by Hertfordshire Highways.
A Highways representative said: "Due to the size of the burst and the amount of consequential damage, the road is unlikely to be opened until tomorrow."
