Croxley Guild Football Club is now able to train on a new artificial pitch every week.
Liberal Democrat councillor Steve Drury has given the club £1,000 from a fund available to each of Hertfordshire County Council's 77 members.
The money will help pay for hire costs of Watford Grammar School's artificial pitch for weekly training sessions.
Croxley Green councillor Drury said: “Local sports clubs play an important role by creating opportunities for people to participate in games and training, and help to promote health, fitness and a more active lifestyle.”
