A conservation project in Croxley Woods has been given £800 for a new picnic bench.
Croxley Green councillor Steve Drury has given the Friends of Croxley Common Moor the money from his locality budget, after the group cleared space for a recreational area within the woods.
Councillor Drury said: "The Croxley Woods are a wonderful natural asset in the area, visitors will now have a place to sit down in comfort, relax, and take in these beautiful surroundings.”
Each of HCC's 77 members has £10,000 to spend on worthwhile community projects in their area.
