A community art project that saw art displayed at Garston railway station has been shortlisted for a national award.
Groundwork Hertfordshire worked with pupils from Berry Grove Primary School and Francis Combe Academy to design and create pictures to be put up along the station platform.
More than 60 local residents also created seven large wooden painted sculptures that now line the footpath outside the station.
This work has now earned two nominations – in the categories of involving young people and community art schemes – at the Association of Community Rail Partners Community Rail Awards.
The winners will be announced on September 24.
