The history of Watford and the Hornets were among questions posed at a charity quiz night to raise money for a disability group.
About 80 people took part in the event, which raised £500 for Disability Watford, formerly known as Watford Disability Forum.
Mayor Dorothy Thornhill also took part as the host, at Sacred Heart Church, Bushey, on Saturday, August 7.
Kim Price, social secretary of Disability Watford, said: “Last year’s bingo night was a great night, but this year we wanted to do something different and I’m really pleased we did as the turnout was fantastic.
“Although I have to confess, when the skies opened shortly before the quiz was due to start, I did wonder how many people would be brave enough to venture out.”
Leigh Hutchins, chairman of Disability Watford, added: “The Mayor gave those attending a glimmer of a hidden talent by singing answers to the music question round. It was very entertaining. ”
