South West Hertfordshire Labour Party has registered its preference in the race to find a replacement for Gordon Brown.
Last week the Watford Observer printed a letter from David Miliband, thanking the Watford Labour party for voting for him.
The shadow foreign secretary also voiced his thanks to the South West Herts branch, after gaining its support.
The result of the leadership election will be announced on September 25.

Have you got nothing better to do than post this drivel which nobody cares about apart from the couple of dozen clp members you have.

Thus support at local Party level for a particular candidate is meaningless; particularly so when most members are aware of this and consequently don't bother to register a preference at constituency level.
Perhaps Adam Binnie might ask each local party secretary what was the turn-out for these rather meaningless ballots?
Rumour has it that in Watford the percentile barely scraped into double figures
The only thing we know for sure is that the true result is due for declaration on September 25th. Until them any other opinion is just that and pure speculation to boot.
I for one can't wait. The Condems have had it far too easy for too long.
As certain local politico's will vouch, "Winning here" has a somewhat hollow ring.
