Voters in central Watford will head to the polls next month to elect a new borough councillor.
Following the resignation of former Liberal Democrat Central Ward councillor Sheila Smillie, who resigned after moving to Florida, a by-election will take place on Thursday, October 14.
Voting will take place between 7am and 10pm.
Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, Town Hall, Watford, WD17 3EX by noon on Friday, September 17.
Before Polling Day, Watford Borough Council will deliver Polling Cards to all eligible voters in Central Ward with information of where to vote.
The deadline for new postal vote applications, or to amend or cancel an existing postal vote arrangement for Central Ward electors must be made by 5pm on Wednesday, September 29.
The deadline for proxy vote applications, or to amend or cancel an existing proxy vote arrangement for Central Ward electors must be made by 5pm on Wednesday, October 6.
The deadline for new applications to vote by proxy on grounds of a medical emergency must be made by 5pm on Thursday, October 14.
Postal and proxy vote forms can be downloaded at www.watford.gov.uk/centralbyelection or by calling the Elections Office on 01923 278369, or by collection at the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall.
