Hertfordshire Constabulary launches Operation Pride to stop speeders

More than 30 speeding motorists have been stopped in Oxhey Hall and Carpenders Park, but instead of receiving a fine, were shown a DVD of a horrific car crash.

Operation Pride aims to stop people breaking the speed limit by showing them the consequences of their actions, in the form of a DVD of a road traffic collision caused by a speeding driver.

PC Daniel Jones, ward constable for Oxhey Hall, said: “We take speeding in the neighbourhood very seriously and are using a variety of methods to tackle this priority, including this one.”
