A burning Vauxhall Astra drew the attention of firefighters in Abbots Langley last night.
A crew from Red Watch, based at the St Albans Road station, were called to Summerhouse Way, where they found the vehicle ablaze at the back of a house at about 8.30pm.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used hose reels to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire was noted as doubtful.
