Pupils helped kick-start work on the £6.7million rebuild of a Bushey primary school.
The new Highwood Primary School, in Bushey Mill Lane, is being constructed on the school field next to the current buildings.
Students joined workers from construction company Morgan Sindall in officially starting the project, digging the first foundations on Thursday, November 11.
The building is due to be completed in the summer of 2012 when the current school will be demolished to make way for new playing fields.
