A toddler group and healthy cooking sessions will be hosted by a children's centre, following a donation from a Hertfordshire County Councillor.
Councillor Derek Scudder (Liberal Democrat, Woodside Stanborough) has presented Leavesden Children's Centre with £2,000, which it will use to pay for tutors and equipment for family taster sessions.
The centre is based at Leavesden Green JMI School and the grant will be used to provide more activities at its outreach programmes at Leavesden Green Community Centre and the Church of the Nazarene.
Councillor Scudder said: "Leavesden Children's Centre has a small budget to run a programme of outreach activities each year and this funding will help it to develop services to more families in the area."
Councillor Scudder provided the money from his annual council locality budget.
