Unemployed residents in Hertfordshire are being offered free training to help them get back into work.
Funded by central government, The University of Hertfordshire (UH) provides a ten-day course aimed at helping students find employment in the care sector.
Anthony Knaggs, of the university, said: βIt is helping students gain the confidence they personally need in order to feel valued and get into sustained employment. At the same time it is providing the community with a work-force that is helping those who need help the most.β
Participants must be aged between 18 and 24 and have been unemployed for at least six months.
