An eyewitness has described the scene after a man was hit by a bus in Bushey.
Richard Davis was walking his dog past the incident, near the Royal Mail sorting office, in Sparrows Herne, shortly after the emergency services arrived, at about 7.50pm.
He said: "I saw a bus with a broken windscreen, on its passenger side, just outside the sorting office. There was a post office van on the other side of the road, beside the bus, and a black Ford KA behind it.
"There was an ambulance and fast response paramedic at the scene. The ambulance left without sirens just before 8pm, I would have thought that the accident had happened at least half an hour before.
"There were also at least five police cars within the closed section of road, with approximately 10 police officers chatting to one an other whilst their colleagues carried out measurements on the road.
"The bus was towed away at about 11pm but forensic officers were still at the scene at midnight."
More to follow.
