Three men have been told to prepare for jail after they were found guilty of a violent attack that marred St George's Day celebrations.

Adam Mullin, 23, of Birkdale Gardens, South Oxhey; Karl Hartnell, 25, of Brookside Road, Oxhey; and Ryan Finn, 30, of Muirfield Road, South Oxhey, were found guilty yesterday (Wednesday) by a jury after a three-day trial at St Albans Crown Court.

They were arrested after another man was subjected to an “unprovoked attack” while drinking at The Ox pub, in Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, on April 23 last year.

The victim was “glassed” on the back of his head before being kicked and punched.

Then when he escaped to the toilets, he was attacked again.

The fight then spilled back into the main bar before it was split up by a barman.

A fourth man, Kevin Maj, 30 of Muirfield Road, was found not guilty of affray by a unanimous verdict, but he has been found guilty of possession of cannabis.

All four men will be sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on Friday, April 1.
