Residents can have their say on the future of health services in Watford at a public meeting next week.

The Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is holding the meeting as part of its consultation on plans to become a community foundation trust.

The Government wants all NHS trusts to become foundation trusts by 2014. These remain part of the NHS and will continue to provide health care free at the point of delivery.

Interim trust Chief Executive Karen Taylor said: “We are facing many challenges in the next few years and would like to gain local people’s comments and views on how best to develop our community services in Watford and the surrounding area.”

The meeting will be held at the Park Inn, 30-40 St Albans Road, Watford, at 7-8.30pm on Wednesday, March 16.
