A developer has been given more time to covert a Victorian house into two one-bedroom flats.
Mrs L Sheikh won permission to carry out the work to the property in Regent Street, Watford, in April 2008.
However, under the terms of its planning permission, building work should begin within three years.
As the expiry date is now approaching, Mrs Sheikh submitted an application to extend the planning permission to Watford Borough Council for an additional three years.
Without debate, members of the council's development control committee last night (Thursday) voted in favour of the proposal.
