A hairdresser from Bushey has paid tribute to her late manager after gaining a place on a prestigious training course.
Emilie Pearson-Brown, a master hair consultant at Clipso, in Watford, will take her place on the Project X Fellowship Education Programme, later this year.
Only twelve people nationwide are chosen for the self-proclaimed "ultimate hairdressing finishing school", and the 25-year-old says her late manager, Terry Calvert, helped her achieve her success.
Mr Calvert, the managing director of Clipso, lost a long battle with cancer on Thursday, February 3, aged just 58.
Emilie, of Bushey Hall Drive, said: "I would like to thank Terry for motivating me and making these opportunities possible. I’m so exited about this wonderful opportunity, it could really fast track my career, and I’ll get to meet some truly inspiring icons, as well as sharing my expertise and experiences with the Project X team."
