TONY COTON returns to Vicarage Road tomorrow (Saturday, August 26) afternoon and knows the Red Devils can expect exactly the same treatment that the Watford side he was part of used to dish out on a regular basis.

The Hornets legend is the goalkeeping coach at Old Trafford and was at Goodison Park on Saturday and Vicarage Road on Tuesday night to run the rule over Aidy Boothroyd's side. And he was impressed with what he saw.

"They are a young team, they know their jobs and are organised," said Coton. "Anybody who comes up against them is going to have their work cut out as they are a real handful.

"I'll be interested to see how we cope with the type of football Watford play," he added. "We are well aware of it and the lads have coped with it before and I'm interested to see how Watford cope with us."

Asked if the class of 2006 provides any similarities to the teams Graham Taylor created, Coton replied: "I don't really know Aidy that well but he has a reputation for being very organised and a good man-manager.

"Graham was exactly the same in my day. Everybody knew their jobs and knew what was expected of them."

Coton, who made 235 appearances for the Hornets, still looks back with real affection on his time at Vicarage Road.

"It's always great going back to Watford." said the 45-year-old. "It's a club that remains deep in my heart and I have this big affection with the club.

"It's great to come back and I've had loads of mates and past colleagues asking when I'm coming down and where I'm staying.

"It's always great to go back to a club you love. I don't get back as often as I like. It was a fantastic time for me at Watford - we were good for each other."
