Parking charges cut at Watford Junction

Commuters using Watford Junction station are celebrating a rare bit of good news – after car parking charges were cut.
Station owner London Midland has announced that prices will fall at its 724 space car park from Monday, May 23.
The decision comes after a nationwide review, which has resulted in increased prices in many other parts of the country.
A spokeswoman said: “We have ample parking facilities at Watford Junction and we want to encourage more people to ‘park and ride’.
“The Peak daily charge is reducing from £8 to £7. Off-Peak charges will also be reduced from £5 to £4.50. Season Ticket charges are not reducing but have been frozen.”
