Firefighters were called back to a block of flats yesterday evening – just minutes after they had left.
Crews were called to Eastbury Road, Oxhey, at about 3.15 yesterday when a large tree caught light in the garden of a block of flats.
They were forced to return some 30 minutes later when flames took hold in the roof of a neighbouring house.
Nobody was hurt but the building was badly damaged.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
