Young footballers in Bushey and Oxhey will step out in new kit this season after grants from three councillors.
Bushey and Oxhey Football Club was handed £500 through the Hertsmere Council's ward improvement initiative scheme (WIIS).
Conservative councillors Pervez Choudhury (£200), Denise Kieran (£150) and Jane West (£150) donated the cash.
Through the scheme, each councillor is given £1,000 to support local projects in their ward.
Councillor Choudhury said: “We were happy to provide the funding. Football is a great way for young people to keep fit, as well as develop their personal confidence and team work.”
