The director of a Sikh human rights group will lead a memorial lecture on the recent London riots.

Dr Jasdev Singh Rai will be the guest speaker at the third annual Harold Meyer Memorial Lecture, which will take on Saturday.

During his speech Dr Rai, who has participated in several UN conferences including the World Conferences on Human Rights, Racism and Sustainable Development, will reflect on the significance and consequences of the riots which shocked the country in August.

The memorial lecture was set up three years ago after the death of Harold Meyer, the chair and honorary president of the Watford Interfaith Association.

Singing group Gospel Arts Manna will also be performing during the lecture, which will take place at Clarendon Muse on Rickmansworth.
