The parent company of TopGolf, Golf Entertainment International, has been named one of the Daily Telegraph’s top 1,000 Brightest Businesses.

The accolade was given to 1,000 businesses across the UK with sales of between £5 million - £500 million which have demonstrated growth in spite of the economic downturn.

TopGolf is a target-based electronic driving range with centres in Bushey Mill Lane, Watford, Chigwell in Essex and Addlestone in Surrey. Its golf balls contain microchips that send player’s individual scores when they drop in target holes on the range.

TopGolf Group Chief Executive Officer, Joe Vrankin, said: “We’ve worked hard over the past few years to ensure we stand out from the crowd and differentiate the TopGolf offering from that of our competitors.

“We believe we’ve built a unique product that taps into both the leisure and sports market, and evidently our consumers buy into that.

“We have a number of exciting plans in place for the next 12 months and look forward to the New Year with a sense of optimism.

“This accolade is a testament to all the staff at TopGolf.”

Golf Entertainment International is based at Kinetic House, Theobold Street, Elstree.
