More than 100 Hertfordshire schools and children’s services have been mentioned in Ofsted's annual report.
The document draws together 31,000 inspections in England, and details a full list of service providers which have been judged outstanding in the past year.
In Hertfordshire, 18 schools, 78 childcare providers and seven children’s social care providers have been rewarded with this top judgement for the year 2010/11.
One such school, Cassiobury Infant and Nursery, was regarded as providing an outstanding standard of education for its pupils.
Headteacher Caroline Daniels said: “We are delighted, we found the Ofsted experience very positive and, as a school, we are delighted with the outcome.
“This is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the staff and the whole school community.”
