You can get in festive mood and enjoy a chocolate treat – courtesy of the Watford Observer at Rickmansworth Starlight Evening tonight (Friday).

The newspaper trailer will be on hand with staff giving away a free packet of 40g Galaxy Bites chocolate to everyone who buys the Watford Observer – while stocks last. They will also be selling children’s light-up toys.

The Starlight Evening is the new name for the former Victorian evening and features the Starlight Parade, the Rising Star Performance Stage, a festive winter market, the Panto Grotto, a fun fair and seasonal refreshments.

Events will be staged along the length of the High Street and joining newspaper staff will be local shops and businesses and many of Rickmansworth’s schools and community groups. The fun begins at 6pm and goes on until 9pm.

Free parking will be available in the Waitrose multi-storey car park but the High Street West car park at Marks and Spencer will be closed from 2pm to enable setting up for the event.
