Harlequin centre shop's 'new shoes for old' scheme to help sick children

A new-for-old scheme at a Watford shoe shop is offering a £10 voucher to anyone who donates an old pair of shoes.

The Sell Your Soles promotion at Schuh in The Harlequin centre runs until Sunday, February 26. Anyone who donates a pair of old shoes will get a £10 Schuh voucher.

The shoes will be given to the Newlife Foundation, which will then re-sell or recycle them to raise money to support disabled and terminally ill children across the UK.

Erin Walsh, marketing manager, said: "The initiative is amazing, The Harlequin is incredibly excited to be supporting it. I’ll certainly be checking the back of my shoe cupboard and making a donation."
