Management at a Bushey football complex where a player collapsed and died on Monday have expressed their sadness at the tragedy.
The man, believed to be in his forties, was taken ill during a match at Powerleague, in Queen’s School, Aldenham Road, at 7.50pm.
Paramedics rushed him to Watford General Hospital but it was confirmed this morning that he later died.
A Powerleague representative today said: “We at Powerleague are shocked and deeply saddened by this passing. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and friends at this terrible time. We would also like to commend our staff who helped the paramedics crew on the night.”
