Aldenham Country Park has been officially handed over to its new operators after the lease was signed this week.
Tim Waygood and Robert Marsden, from Agrarian Renaissance, are taking over the popular visitors’ attraction after Hertfordshire County Council previously announced it wanted to close the site to save money.
The pair signed the lease on Tuesday.
Campaign group Friends of ACP, now the ACP Trust, was set up to prevent the sites closure after the county council announced the cost-cutting measure early last year.
Councillor Sandra Parnell, a member of the trust, said: “This is fabulous news and it means we can look to the future now and the exciting plans they have for the park.
“This is exactly what the trust wanted for the park and we’re all very happy that the lease has been signed.
"The new owners are going to make the park a place the whole community can use and enjoy and that’s just what the trust hoped for.”
